Scrooge Bros. - Commercial Christmasland

Many people who love Christmas parody songs will be very familiar with the Scrooge Bros. song "Walkin' Round In Women's Underwear". But there are fewer still who are aware that they made an album. Commercial Christmasland was released in 1983 by Rhino Records. The cover art was done by the late, great Shawn Kerri. Got to appreciate a woman who did illustrations for CarToons and Hustler. She could play with the big boys and carry her own. Got to love that.

In my opinion, this is the best holiday parody album ever. It is a big middle finger to the holidays and how commercialism has permanently bonded to what should be a time to enjoy the company of family and friends.

Get it here.

Enjoy!
